Patria and SIA Unitruck established a joint venture in Latvia

Patria and SIA Unitruck have established a jointly owned company in Latvia. The new company, SIA Defence Partnership Latvia, owned by Patria 70% and Unitruck 30%,  will provide maintenance, repair, overhaul, system integration services and logistical operations to the Latvian National Armed Forces. The new company is located in Cesis. The parties acknowledge that SIA Defence Partnership Latvia could become part of the Latvian defence’s mobilisation organisation and to support the ongoing planning and build-up of Latvia’s comprehensive defence.

“Establishing SIA Defence Partnership Latvia is a part of Patria’s strategy to grow its international maintenance and life-cycle support business. This joint venture is a long-term commitment to support Latvia’s National Armed Forces. Would Latvia decide to procure Patria 6×6 vehicle platform, we believe SIA Defence Partnership Latvia will be a very capable key contributor to the Latvian security of supply in the program and for ensuring long-term sustainment of the vehicles”, says Jukka Holkeri, President of Patria’s International Support Partnerships business unit.

Patria is an international provider of defence, security and aviation life cycle support services and technology solutions.
