National Aviation Academy was presented at the ADEX-2024 Exhibition
On the initiative of Azerbaijan Technical University (ATU), a panel discussion on “Automation and Robotics in Defence: Prospects and Challenges” was held within the framework of the 5th anniversary Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition “ADEX-2024”.
The panel discussion, moderated by AzTU Rector Vilayat Veliyev, featured presentations by Khagani Abdullayev (Vice Rector for New Technologies, National Aviation Academy), Yasin Kaygusuz (International Program Manager, Turkish Aerospace Industry), Manafeddin Namazov (Director, Institute of Industrial Systems and Cyber Security, AzTU), Asad Rustamov (Deputy Rector, Military Administration Institute at the National Defence University), and Gunel Aliyeva (Head, Department of Optoelectronic Remote Sensing Devices, National Aerospace Agency under the Ministry of Defence Industry). These persons shared the experience of the completed and upcoming work in the defence industry and automation, as well as the latest trends, directions of University-Industry cooperation.
Professor Khagani Abdullayev provided detailed information on the projects being implemented at National Aviation Academy on Automation and Robotics in the defence sector.
During the Q&A session, Rector Vilayat Veliev held dialogue discussions with speakers on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Ethical Challenges in Cybersecurity.
Finally, the moderator and panel speakers were given a certificate.
