AI boosts efficiency at ASELSAN
Artificial intelligence applications implemented at ASELSAN over the past year have resulted in 650,000 hours of labor savings 5% improvement in its productivity ratio and an estimated $35 million increase in efficiency over the last year. At the AI Tomorrow Summit 2025, organized by the Artificial Intelligence Policy Association, ASELSAN President & CEO Ahmet Akyol highlighted the company’s significant gains from AI integration and its strategic importance for the future.
In addition to transforming products, AI has driven changes in ASELSAN’s internal workflows. To oversee this shift, the company launched the “aselsaneXt” program in 2024, which introduced AI specialists across seven key operational areas, with further expansions planned. ASELSAN’s AI applications extend to critical sectors including electronic warfare systems, sonar, air defense, unmanned surface vehicles, electro-optics, and guidance technologies.
With a 50-year legacy in defence technologies, ASELSAN incorporated AI design as a core component of its research and development efforts. The company continues to leverage artificial intelligence to strengthen both its innovation capacity and Türkiye’s technological independence.
