Flawless strike from TB3 with ASELFLIR 500

In DENİZKURDU-2 exercise conducted by Turkish Naval Forces, two TB3 prototypes operated from TCG Anadolu vessel successfully executed salvo strikes with ROKETSAN’s MAM-L munitions by using ASELSAN’s advanced electro-optical payloads—ASELFLIR 500 and CATS—deployed simultaneously on both aircraft. The dual munitions, released from an altitude of 12,000 feet, accurately struck a designated target 5,500 meters away, confirming the pinpoint effectiveness of ASELSAN’s targeting systems.

At the heart of this successful operation was ASELFLIR 500 Electro-Optical Sensor System, which significantly enhances UAV reconnaissance and targeting capabilities. Designed and manufactured by ASELSAN, ASELFLIR 500 is recognized as one of the highest-performing solutions in its class. By delivering real-time imaging, precision laser designation, and advanced target tracking under demanding operational conditions, the system ensured both MAM-L munitions hit the exact same point—demonstrating near-zero deviation and setting a new benchmark in strike precision.

This live-fire demonstration not only validated the TB3’s operational effectiveness from a naval platform but also reaffirmed the superiority of Türkiye’s domestically developed electro-optical technologies. With the successful integration of ASELFLIR 500 and CATS into naval UAV operations, ASELSAN once again showcased its leadership in enhancing the accuracy and effectiveness of smart munitions.
