ASELSAN’s TUFAN Kamikaze USV Displayed at “TEKNOFEST Mavi Vatan”

ASELSAN’s TUFAN kamikaze unmanned surface vehicle (USV) is being displayed at the “TEKNOFEST Mavi Vatan” technology festival.

Polygonjournal reports that TUFAN is a kamikaze-type surface USV equipped with a high-explosive warhead, capable of operating in swarms and featuring advanced situational awareness and autonomous control capabilities.

The kamikaze USV can be used not only to neutralize surface targets and platforms, but also critical facilities located along the coastline. TUFAN can perform reconnaissance, surveillance and intelligence-gathering missions either individually or as part of a swarm. It can execute various missions by employing asymmetric attack patterns and forming task-specific subgroups. The USV is capable of autonomously avoiding both moving and stationary obstacles, while also providing vision-based target detection and engagement capabilities.

In addition to its advanced situational awareness and autonomous features, TUFAN offers high speed and maneuverability. Equipped with a high-explosive warhead, the kamikaze USV can autonomously navigate and carry out missions in swarm mode. It also features vision-based target identification and destruction capabilities.
