Belarus Develops Protection Kit for BM-21B Multiple Launch Rocket Systems Against FPV Drones

Belarus has developed a modular protection kit designed to protect BM-21B multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) against attacks by first-person-view (FPV) drones.
Poliqonjurnal reports this, citing the State Military-Industrial Committee of Belarus.
It was noted that FPV drones have become a serious threat to military equipment in modern conflicts. Standard electronic warfare systems are not always effective against small, highly manoeuvrable drones. As a result, the use of individual protection systems has become increasingly important.
The kit was developed by specialists from the 2566 Radioelectronic Weapons Repair Plant. It is designed to protect military equipment against RGD-5 and F-1 hand grenades dropped by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), as well as VOG-17 grenade launcher ammunition. The kit can be installed by the vehicle crew.
The kit consists of three functional modules: crew cab protection, carried ammunition protection, and artillery unit protection. Each module comprises protective nets and covers designed to provide the highest possible level of protection for the military equipment during combat missions.
