The 26th NATO Days and the 17th Czech Air Force Days will take place at Leoš Janáček Airport Ostrava on 19 and 20 September. Among the many participants and exhibitors, the event’s traditional special partners – CSG group and the vehicle manufacturer Tatra – will once again be present. Within the CSG group exhibition, Tatra Defence, Retia, MSM Group, Excalibur International, AviaNera Technologies and Eldis will showcase their products. Every year, NATO Days and Czech Air Force Days provide the public with a major opportunity to learn about developments within the Czech Armed Forces and NATO armies, as well as the latest technologies and products of the Czech defence industry.
Heavy truck manufacturer Tatra will display its full vehicle portfolio at NATO Days. This will include various versions of the latest third-generation Tatra Force model range, which is widely used by the Czech Army as well as other armed forces in Europe and around the world. They will be joined by the proven Tatra 810M Tactic medium logistics vehicle in its latest configuration. Tatra’s exhibition will also include vehicles from the Tatra Phoenix range, which represents the mainstay of the company’s production for civilian customers. Stands offering souvenirs will also be available for Tatra enthusiasts.
During the dynamic demonstrations, Tatra Defence (TD) will present the TITUS 6×6 armoured vehicle on a Tatra chassis, specifically in the latest command-and-staff configuration for the Czech Armed Forces designated KOVVŠ M2. TITUS vehicles are already in service with the Czech Army’s land forces, where they are used as command-and-staff and communications vehicles and, within artillery units, as so-called fire support coordination centres. All versions feature state-of-the-art electronic and communications equipment as well as excellent driving characteristics both off-road and on paved roads. Another exhibit, which will also be showcased during a dynamic demonstration, is the Pandur 8×8 EVO wheeled infantry fighting vehicle – the most modern and powerful combat vehicle developed and built in the Czech Republic. It is equipped with powerful weapons and electronic systems incorporating elements of artificial intelligence and machine learning, which support effective combat operations as well as the protection of the vehicle and its crew.
Another exhibitor at the joint CSG stand will be MSM Group, which brings together several manufacturers of modern medium- and large-calibre ammunition. These include ZVS, VOP Nováky, Fábrica de Municiones Granada and ZVI. Their portfolio displayed at the CSG group stand will include various types of 120 mm and 105 mm tank ammunition as well as 155 mm artillery ammunition. Also, on display will be 30 mm medium-calibre ammunition for combat vehicle cannons and 81 mm and 120 mm mortar ammunition.
Retia will for the first time exhibit the new RSB21 ReSAURION medium-range multi-role radar, designed primarily for integration into air defence systems. The radar provides medium-range air surveillance, detection and classification of airborne threats and can operate both in surveillance mode and fire-control mode. It also supports mid-course missile guidance and is equipped with an integrated IFF system. ReSAURION uses modern electronic radar beam-steering technology and is characterised by high resistance to jamming as well as the ability to be rapidly deployed in the field.
Excalibur International will present modern solutions for countering aerial threats at the CSG group stand. The Korkut air defence system, mounted on a Tatra Force 6×6 chassis, uses twin 35 mm cannons with programmable airburst ammunition and is designed to engage drones, helicopters, aircraft and cruise missiles at ranges of up to 4 km. The display will also include Fiocchi Drone Defence counter-UAS ammunition for small arms, intended primarily for use against small drones. Another part of the exhibition will focus on unmanned strike systems. These will include the MACE loitering munition, which has a tactical range of up to 140 km, an endurance of 110 minutes and is designed for precision strikes against armoured vehicles, infrastructure and other high-value targets. The jet-powered Deep Strike UAV (DSU-1000T), a One Way Attack system, is designed to strike targets at ranges of at least 1,000 km, has a cruising speed of approximately 550 km/h and carries a 20 kg multi-purpose warhead.
Eldis will present its latest generation of products for comprehensive airport radar solutions. Specifically, these will include models of its two latest radar systems – the RL-3000 and PAR-NG. The RL-3000 long-range 3D radar is based on software-defined architecture and provides three-dimensional tracking of non-cooperative airborne targets. The PAR-NG represents an entirely new generation of precision approach radar and is designed for operation at both civilian and military airports.
Also represented at the CSG Group stand will be AviaNera Technologies, which specialises in the development, production and sale of small jet engines for unmanned aerial vehicles. At Ostrava Airport, the company will present a compact MTJ300-series jet engine designed for light UAVs, guided missiles and target drones. Its main advantages include compact dimensions and very low operating weight.
