First T625 GÖKBEY Helicopter Delivered to Turkish General Directorate of Security

The T625 GÖKBEY multi-purpose helicopter, manufactured by TUSAŞ, has been delivered to the Turkish General Directorate of Security (EGM).
Polygonjournal reports, citing the Turkish Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB), that this is the first T625 GÖKBEY helicopter delivered to the General Directorate of Security and the eighth aircraft delivered to domestic customers overall.
The T625 GÖKBEY helicopter was developed by TUSAŞ using indigenous and national capabilities. The multi-purpose helicopter has a capacity of 12 passengers, a maximum take-off weight of 6 tonnes, a maximum speed of 306 km/h, a service ceiling of 20,000 feet and an endurance of more than 3.8 hours. When equipped with external fuel tanks, the GÖKBEY can remain airborne for more than 5 hours and cover a distance of up to 948 kilometres.
The helicopter has undergone approximately 3,000 hours of flight testing. More than 200 domestic companies participated in the development of the project, with the helicopter achieving an approximately 70% local content rate.
The helicopter is designed to be effectively employed in a range of missions, including security operations, search and rescue, disaster response and emergency situations.
