İHA-122 Missile Successfully Destroys Maritime Target

A test firing of the İHA-122 supersonic ballistic missile developed by ROKETSAN has been conducted from the Akıncı unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

Polygonjournal reports, citing ROKETSAN, that during the test, the İHA-122 missile successfully destroyed a stationary maritime target.

The İHA-122 is an air-to-surface supersonic missile designed to be launched from UAVs. It is an aviation launched version of the TRG-122 surface-to-surface missile developed by the company.

The main objective in developing the İHA-122 is to enable UAVs to destroy enemy ground targets, air defence systems and other assets without entering high risk areas.
