ASELSAN successfully presented its integrated Drone Defense System during a live demonstration in Ankara, highlighting the coordinated operation of İHTAR Counter-UAV System, EJDERHA High-Power Microwave Weapon System and GÖKBERK Laser Weapon System against a variety of UAV threats. Attended by Turkish and international media representatives as well as delegations from 20 countries, the demonstration showcased ASELSAN’s layered approach to countering evolving drone threats within the lowest tier of Türkiye’s Steel Dome air defense architecture.
The demonstration featured a realistic operational scenario involving swarm, fiber-optic-controlled and wirelessly controlled drones approaching from multiple directions. Through its integrated command-and-control architecture, ASELSAN successfully detected, tracked and neutralized all threats using both soft-kill and hard-kill capabilities. During the exercise, EJDERHA countered swarm threats with its high-power microwave technology, İHTAR disrupted hostile UAVs through electronic warfare capabilities, and GÖKBERK eliminated a fiber-optic-controlled drone through precise laser engagement.
The live demonstration highlighted the effectiveness of ASELSAN’s integrated counter-UAV architecture, combining advanced surveillance, AI-supported threat assessment, and directed-energy systems within a unified command-and-control structure. By showcasing the complementary capabilities of its next-generation defense solutions in a realistic operational environment, ASELSAN reinforced its commitment to developing innovative technologies for modern battlefield requirements.
