Italian CH-47 “Chinook” helicopter Crashes in Bosnia and Herzegovina

An Italian CH-47 “Chinook” heavy transport helicopter participating in the European Union’s (EU) peacekeeping operation has crashed near the city of Brčko in northern Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Poliqonjurnal” reports that the EU’s EUFOR military mission has confirmed that the CH-47 “Chinook” helicopter crashed on Thursday afternoon.

A mission spokesperson stated that four crew members were killed and 11 people were injured in the crash.
