Lockheed Martin gets $50M missile Production Deal
The United States Department of War awarded Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control a $50,5 million contract modification on Feb. 12, 2026, supporting continued procurement of Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missiles (JASSM) and Long-Range Anti-Ship Missiles (LRASM), according to an official contract announcement.
The modification (P00012) applies to a previously awarded contract identified as FA8682-24-C-B001 for Large Lot Procurement of the two missile systems. The award increases the cumulative value of the contract to $9,629,401,474, up from $9,578,865,257.
Work under the modification will be performed in Orlando, Florida, and is scheduled for completion by Aug. 29, 2029. Fiscal Year 2026 Navy weapons procurement funds totaling $8,700,039 were obligated at the time of award. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, serves as the contracting activity.
The Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile is a long-range precision strike weapon designed to engage heavily defended targets from outside enemy air defense coverage. The missile enables aircraft to strike fixed and relocatable targets while reducing exposure to integrated air defense systems.
The Long-Range Anti-Ship Missile is derived from the JASSM family and is designed for maritime strike missions against surface vessels. LRASM incorporates autonomous targeting features intended to identify and engage enemy ships in contested environments where communications and navigation systems may be degraded.
The Large Lot Procurement program allows the U.S. military to acquire missiles in higher quantities under multi-year production arrangements intended to stabilize manufacturing output and maintain supply continuity. Contract modifications such as the latest award adjust funding allocations and production scope within the broader procurement framework.
Lockheed Martin produces both missile systems through its Missiles and Fire Control division in Orlando, which serves as a primary manufacturing and integration center for long-range precision weapons. The JASSM and LRASM families are deployed across multiple U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy aircraft platforms, providing stand-off strike capability against land and maritime targets.
