MKE and PGZ to Coperate in air Defense Systems

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the field of air defense systems has been signed between Türkiye’s MKE and Poland’s Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) during the MSPO-2026 exhibition.

According to MKE, as cited by Polygonjournal, the companies will carry out joint work on the integration of short-range air defense systems and non-kinetic systems (systems that provide intervention without requiring ammunition).

The cooperation aims to address capability gaps in the parties’ existing air defense systems and develop the interoperability of various systems.

The memorandum covers the Turkish and Polish markets, as well as potential export markets. The parties will combine their existing capabilities in the field of air defense to develop joint solutions tailored to the requirements of different users.

The MoU signed with PGZ marks MKE’s second cooperation in Europe related to the TOLGA short-range air defense system.

Earlier this year, MKE signed an MoU with Hungary’s HT Division for the integration of the TOLGA system into ground-based robotic platforms. As part of this cooperation, TOLGA’s 20 mm weapon system was integrated into the 6×6 KATICA robotic platform developed by HT Division.
