Japanese Seto handpainted porcelain tea set for six includes 6 teacups, 6 saucers, 1 covered sugar and 1 creamer.
Mark: Each piece marked in green with the Imperial Seto Yaki OKAN mark. Made in Seto Japan, backstamp dates it circa 1940s.
Very good vintage condition with all the colors and gold mainly intact. Only one saucer with a rim chip. One cup base with what appears to be manufacturer defect. Exceptional detail to the painting and vibrant colors. Exceptional gold encrusting, beading, and detailing.
Saucers measure 5 3/8" diameter.
Cups measure 2 3/8" height; 3 7/8" diameter.
Sugar measures 6 3/8" length handle to handle; 4.5" height.
Creamer measures 4.25" height at handle
