Raytheon Expands Production Capacity for Electronic Warfare and Radar Systems
US defence company Raytheon has completed the expansion of its manufacturing facility in Forest, Mississippi, by 17,000 square feet (approximately 1,580 square metres).
Polygonjournal reports, citing Raytheon, that the project, carried out with an investment of $50 million, will increase the facility’s production capacity for electronic warfare and radar systems.
Following the expansion, the facility’s total manufacturing area has increased to 445,000 square feet (approximately 41,340 square metres). The new facility will be used for the production, testing and integration of Next Generation Jammer Mid-Band (NGJ-MB) electronic warfare pods for the US Navy and Australia, as well as other airborne radar systems.
