Twenty-eight South Korean-made K2 main battle tanks have been delivered to Poland.
“Polygonjournal” reports that Poland’s Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced the delivery on his social media accounts.
He stated that the tanks were delivered to Poland under a contract signed on 1 August 2025 for the supply of new K2 and K2PL tanks. The vehicles will be incorporated into the armament of the 16th Mechanized Division.
According to the minister, deliveries of K2PL-version tanks will begin in subsequent batches. Some of these tanks will be manufactured using Polish-made components.
The minister noted that this represents an important step toward increasing Poland’s defense industry production capabilities and strengthening the country’s security.
