ADEX, the 6th Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition, will take place at the Baku Expo Center from 30 September to 2 October. It is one of the world’s most prestigious defence industry events, the largest specialised exhibition of its kind in the Caucasus and a leading platform for military-technical cooperation.
Since ADEX was first held, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr Ilham Aliyev, has visited the exhibition and sent official messages of welcome to its participants and guests, reflecting the high level of attention it receives from the state. This not only demonstrates the considerable confidence placed in ADEX but also confirms its status as a national brand of Azerbaijan with an established international reputation.
ADEX is held on the initiative and with the organisational support of the Ministry of Defence Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the support of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The exhibition is organised by the Caspian Event Organisers.
This year, Pavilion 5 at the Baku Expo Center will be used for the first time in the history of ADEX. This major development sets a record for the exhibition and marks a new stage in its growth. The opening of Pavilion 5 represents more than an expansion of the exhibition space; it reflects ADEX’s growing prominence, its strengthening position within the international defence industry and the considerable interest it continues to attract.
The participation of new countries and renowned defence industry companies from around the world and the continued presence of traditional exhibitors at ADEX are the key factors driving the exhibition’s record expansion.
To date, more than 200 companies from over 20 countries have confirmed their participation in ADEX 2026, clearly demonstrating the level of international interest in the exhibition. The active participation of the United States in ADEX 2026 is particularly noteworthy this year. Prestigious US companies such as SIG SAUER and Lockheed Martin will make their debut at ADEX. The United Kingdom and Germany will also participate in ADEX for the first time in 2026. Germany will be represented at the exhibition by the renowned company Rheinmetall. All these developments clearly demonstrate the expansion of ADEX’s international reach and its growing network of distinguished partners.
Traditional international participants at ADEX include Türkiye’s ROKETSAN, the General Sponsor of the exhibition, ASELSAN Elektronik San. ve Tic. A.Ş., Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), BAYKAR and HAVELSAN Elektronik San. ve Tic. A.Ş.; Italy’s Leonardo; Excalibur Army from the Czech Republic; EDGE Group from the United Arab Emirates; INDRA from Spain; and many other representatives of the global defence industry.
In addition to individual exhibitors, several countries will be represented at ADEX 2026 through national pavilions. As in previous years, Belarus, the Czech Republic, Italy, Türkiye and Slovakia will showcase their defence industry products and technological solutions in dedicated national pavilions.
The strength and technological capabilities of Azerbaijan’s defence industry will be showcased extensively to an international audience at ADEX 2026. One of the key developments at ADEX 2026 is that Pavilion 4 of the Baku Expo Center will, for the first time, be allocated to Azerbaijan’s national exhibition. The pavilion will feature institutions and companies representing the country’s defence, technology, space and engineering sectors. The national pavilion will bring together the Ministry of Defence Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan – ANAMA, the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Azercosmos, Rynex Solutions, Synapline Technologies, Vektor DS, Miras Military Industrial Company LLC, ITX MOTORS, the National Defense University, RD Smart OJSC, Az-Tex-Import LLC, AZEL Systems and Azersilah Defence Industry Holding.
In addition to supporting the exhibition, the Ministry of Defence Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan will be represented at a joint stand with Azersilah Defence Industry Holding CJSC, which operates under the Ministry. The stand will showcase their current production and technological capabilities, together with their latest innovations. The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Azerbaijan will also have a separate stand, where it will present its key areas of activity and capabilities.
The growing international interest in ADEX is reflected not only in the number of exhibiting companies, but also in the attendance of official delegations. To date, 32 official delegations from 26 countries have confirmed their participation in the exhibition. The presence of high-level delegations from different countries will provide opportunities for bilateral meetings, discussions on prospects for cooperation in the defence industry and the establishment of new contacts during the exhibition.
The ADEX 2026 exhibition will cover a wide range of defence industry sectors. It will showcase aviation and unmanned systems, electronic warfare equipment, C4ISR technologies, modern weapons and ammunition, as well as military equipment.
Bringing these sectors together within a single venue demonstrates that ADEX extends beyond the presentation of individual products. The exhibition provides a comprehensive showcase that brings together a broad range of technological fields within the modern defence industry.
Alongside ADEX 2026, the 15th International Exhibition for Internal Security, Safety and Rescue Equipment – Securex Caspian – will take place at the Baku Expo Center.
Securex Caspian is organised with the support of the Ministry of Defence Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Border Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Special Communication and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Azerbaijan Exhibition Organisers Association.
This year, Securex Caspian is also expanding significantly, with cybersecurity receiving particular attention at the exhibition. The latest technologies, innovative solutions and advanced approaches in this field will be showcased.
The simultaneous staging of ADEX and Securex Caspian will bring the defence industry and internal security sectors together under one roof. As a result, the exhibitions will showcase not only defence technologies and military equipment, but also internal security, safety and rescue equipment, as well as cybersecurity solutions.
In addition to their extensive exhibition displays, ADEX 2026 and Securex Caspian 2026 will offer participants and visitors a comprehensive business programme addressing key topics in the defence industry, internal security, education and personnel training, innovation, and advanced technologies.
The business programme will feature sessions focusing on strategy, academia, innovation, technology and training, as well as other professional events. These events will provide opportunities for professional discussions and the exchange of expertise.
One of the highlights of the programme will be the presentation of the start-up project “National Military-Industrial Complex of the Future”, continuing ADEX’s tradition of supporting innovative initiatives and promising technological solutions.
Bilateral meetings between representatives of Azerbaijani government institutions, international delegations and exhibiting companies will be a key feature of the ADEX 2026 programme. These meetings will provide valuable opportunities to establish new business connections, strengthen military-technical cooperation, explore joint projects and build long-term strategic partnerships.
Reflecting its professional focus, ADEX 2026 will be open exclusively to military personnel, employees of security and law enforcement agencies, professionals working in the military and defence industries and related sectors, as well as cadets at higher military educational institutions. Employees of commercial organisations will be permitted to visit the exhibition only on 2 October upon presentation of a valid identity card or passport.
With its growing prominence, the first-time use of Pavilion 5, its expanding international reach and the participation of the world’s leading defence companies, ADEX 2026 is set to be one of the largest editions in the exhibition’s history. This prestigious platform will once again position Baku as a leading meeting place for international military-technical cooperation and further strengthen ADEX’s global standing as a national brand of Azerbaijan.
