LIFELINE HLM Successfully Enters Clinical Use

ASELSAN’s indigenous LIFELINE HLM Heart-Lung Machine successfully passed its first clinical open-heart surgery mission. Developed by ASELSAN, with preclinical and clinical studies conducted by the Turkish Health Institutes Presidency (TÜSEB), the system successfully maintained the patient’s blood circulation and oxygenation throughout the procedure, marking a significant milestone for Türkiye’s medical technology ecosystem.

Designed to support complex cardiovascular procedures, LIFELINE HLM provides safe and uninterrupted extracorporeal circulation through advanced close loop control systems, a user-friendly interface and a modular architecture tailored to the needs of healthcare professionals. The successful clinical procedure validated the system’s reliability and precision in a real operating room environment, paving the way for its wider deployment across hospitals.
