Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi systems developed with domestic and national capabilities are being used in the EFES-2026 exercise.
According to information provided to “Poliqon” by MKE, the company’s wide product portfolio developed for land, air, and naval forces is once again demonstrating its battlefield effectiveness within the scope of EFES-2026.
Systems developed by MKE, including the TOLGA close-range air defense system, the BORAN lightweight towed howitzer, the gun system of the FIRTINA self-propelled artillery system, the 35 mm weapon system, aviation bombs, automatic weapons, sniper rifles, and various calibers of ammunition, are being actively used during the exercise.
The 35 mm weapon system, in particular, which is among the key strike elements of the “Steel Dome” concept, adds strength to Türkiye’s layered air defense architecture. MKE products, used across various domains ranging from close-range air defense capabilities to long-range fire support, from tank weapon systems to aviation munitions, support the operational capabilities of the Turkish Armed Forces at different stages of EFES-2026.
With a broad production capability ranging from 5.56 mm cartridges to 155 mm artillery shells, from tank ammunition to missile warheads, and from aviation bombs to mortar rounds, MKE stands out as one of the primary strike contributors in EFES-2026, both through its weapon systems and the ammunition used in the exercise.
