Türkiye’s ROKETSAN has demonstrated the effectiveness of its ALKA directed-energy weapon system against various unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
According to Poliqonjurnal, citing ROKETSAN, during tests conducted as part of the “Flying Eye” drone competition, the ALKA system successfully destroyed rotary-wing and fixed-wing drones, as well as a stationary ground target.
Equipped with laser and electromagnetic jamming capabilities, the ALKA system is designed to counter asymmetric threats as part of Türkiye’s “Steel Dome” (Çelik Kubbe) integrated air defence architecture.
