MILEX Innovations 2019 conference to gather over 500 participants

An international scientific conference on military technology MILEX Innovations 2019 is expected to gather over 500 Belarusian and Russian specialists from various industries in Minsk, representatives of the State Military Industrial Committee of Belarus told BelTA.

The conference will take place on 16-17 May alongside the military technology expo MILEX 2019.

Participants of the conference are expected to discuss military technology problems, problems of defense and security, and the use of dual-use technologies. Participants of the conference will exchange opinions, discuss modern technologies and new approaches to the development of the defense sector of the economy, ways to provide scientific support for new R&D projects. Over 150 scientific reports will be presented as well as about 50 innovative projects.

Panel sessions will be held to discuss 13 areas of interest, including modern trends in battlefield medicine and pharmaceutics, approaches to cyber security and the protection of personal data in view of biometrics and blockchain technology. Threats, problems, and application prospects of robot systems and artificial intelligence will be discussed as well as individual protection systems as part of the future soldier package. All the panel sessions will take place in the National Library of Belarus.

For the first time the conference will feature an exhibition of innovative projects. Companies and startup teams will present new ideas, which may be interesting for the defense sector and the civilian sector of the economy.
