A small patrol ship named “Semey” was built at the Zenit plant
The Ural-based Zenit Plant has completed the construction of the small patrol ship “Semey”, commissioned by the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan. To date, this is the 35th vessel produced by the enterprise.
With a displacement of 70 tons, the ship was built over a period of two years. Its design incorporated suggestions from Border Service specialists aimed at improving maneuverability and combat efficiency. The “Semey” is capable of reaching speeds of up to 40 knots and can operate autonomously for up to seven days. The vessel’s crew consists of 15 personnel.
The “Semey” small patrol ship is specially designed to combat illegal fishing activities in coastal waters. Its high speed, agility, and endurance make it well-suited for effective maritime patrols, rapid response to violations, and the interception of offenders.
Equipped with modern communication and navigation systems, the ship ensures reliable control over marine resources and enhances the security of Kazakhstan’s national borders.
