ARX Robotics demonstrates drone-ground synergy

German ARX Robotics, in collaboration with its partners, demonstrated a cutting-edge reconnaissance and strike capability that integrates aerial and ground systems for seamless battlefield coordination.

The live demonstration, conducted under the banner of the Drone Capability Coalition, highlighted two operational scenarios: transporting and launching loitering munitions, and maintaining critical communications in dynamic environments.

In one scenario, the GEREON Robotic Combat System (RCS) transported STARK’s VIRTUS loitering munition into position for rapid deployment. The system executed the task under simulated combat conditions, enabling operators to launch precision strikes on demand.

The second scenario showcased a mobile antenna system deployed on the move, allowing operators and headquarters to remain in continuous communication with assets in the field. The solution provided real-time feedback in high-pressure environments, demonstrating its utility for fast-moving operations.

“Reconnaissance and strike are no longer separate steps,” ARX said. “Recce-Strike means closing the loop between data and effect – fast, connected, and with staying power.”

The demonstration emphasized the integration of unmanned systems to deliver timely intelligence and immediate effects on the battlefield. Together with Quantum Systems and STARK, ARX is building systems designed to operate under fire and in contested environments.

ARX Robotics says these technologies are not only relevant for future conflicts but are already being field-tested in live operations.

The collaboration underscores Europe’s push to develop autonomous and connected systems for defense, as the nature of warfare evolves toward multi-domain operations and faster engagement cycles.
