South Korea’s KF-21 fighter jet equipped with indigenous AESA radar
The first mass-produced prototype of the AESA radar, developed entirely with domestic technology by Hanwha Systems for South Korea’s KF-21 “Boramae” fighter jet, has been unveiled.
According to “Poliqon”, citing Hanwha Systems, a presentation ceremony was held at the company’s Yongin Complex Research Center to mark the occasion.
The event was attended by representatives from South Korea’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA), the Air Force, the Agency for Defense Development (ADD), the Defense Agency for Technology and Quality (DTaQ), and other institutions.
It was noted that a total of 40 AESA radars will be installed on KF-21 fighter jets by 2028.
