MKE Enters SIPRI’s list of the World’s Top 100 Defence Companies for the First Time
Türkiye’s leading defence industry company, Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi (MKE), has, for the first time in its history, been included in the list of the world’s top 100 defence companies prepared by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).
According to information provided by MKE to Poliqon, the company, which ranked 102nd in last year’s list, advanced 9 places this year to secure the 93rd position.
The SIPRI report states that MKE’s arms and military services revenue reached 1.21 billion USD in 2024, enabling the company to enter the “Top 100 Defence Companies Worldwide” list for the first time.
After being featured in the Defense News Top 100 list published a few months ago, MKE’s inclusion in the SIPRI ranking further reaffirms its success on the global stage.
By offering efficient and domestically developed products to its international partners—primarily the Turkish Armed Forces—MKE continues to make significant contributions to Türkiye’s rising presence in the global defence industry. This success is driven by the company’s advanced engineering capabilities, extensive experience, and high-technology product portfolio tailored to the needs of the modern battlefield.
With leading institutions such as MKE, Türkiye continues to move decisively toward its goal of building a national and independent defence industry, strengthening its position each year among the key players in the global defence market.
