“Thales” Unveils Containerized Mobile Maritime Mission System

French company “Thales” has unveiled the “Maritime Modular Capability”, a containerized mobile mission system designed for the Naval Forces (Navy).
“Poliqon” reports, citing “Thales”, that the system has been developed to enable Naval Forces to flexibly adapt to changing operational requirements, rapidly deploy mission capabilities, and use them across different platforms.
The “Maritime Modular Capability” modules can be deployed on ships, unmanned platforms, and on land. The system’s modular architecture enables platforms to be reconfigured according to new mission requirements and to rapidly adapt to changing threats and operational priorities. This eliminates the need for major structural modifications to the platform.
The configuration presented by “Thales” integrates the company’s various technologies into a single 20-foot container. Thus, the container functions as a system of systems capable of operating independently.
The system incorporates surveillance and reconnaissance, fire control, navigation, and communications capabilities. Surveillance and reconnaissance functions are performed using advanced sensors, including radars, sonars, and electronic warfare systems. Fire control is provided remotely through the TACTICOS combat management system.
