A delegation led by Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Defence Industry, Hidayat Azimov, has been on an official working visit to Uzbekistan since 4 August.
Polygonjournal reports, citing the Press Service of the Ministry of Defence Industry, that the delegation visited the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent as part of the visit.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the training of qualified personnel for the defence industry, the involvement of young specialists in short-term training programs, and prospects for cooperation in the field of education. A memorandum of understanding was also signed between the Defence Industry Research and Innovation Center and the university.
The delegation also visited the Center for Innovative Technologies, where they were briefed on the center’s activities in the fields of artificial intelligence, scientific research, and innovation, as well as its operating principles.
Later, Hidayat Azimov held a meeting with the senior leadership of the Defence Industry Agency of Uzbekistan.
