President of Egypt receives delegations participating in EDEX 2018

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Monday 3/12/2018 heads of delegations participating in Egypt Defense Expo (EDEX 2018) – Egypt’s first tri-service defense expo covering air, land and sea.
 
Sisi and heads of the delegations had a photo opportunity.
Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and Defense Minister Lieutenant General Mohamed Zaki attended the event which is held at Egypt International Exhibition Center in New Cairo.
The inaugural EDEX is fully supported by Egyptian armed forces and presents a brand new opportunity for exhibitors to showcase the latest technology, equipment and systems across land, sea, and air.
About 373 international companies from 41 countries will showcase the latest technology, equipment and systems across land, sea and air. The fair is set up on an area of 17,000 square meters under the sponsorship of 15 local and international companies.
As many as 56 official delegations comprising defense, military production ministers and chiefs of staff are expected to participate in the three-day event.
Over 10,000 industry visitors are expected to attend fully-hosted international military VIP Delegation Program.
With over 1.3 million military personnel, as the largest military power in Africa and one of the leading forces worldwide, Egypt is the ideal setting for a large-scale event for the sector. In addition, Egypt has historically maintained continuous investment in the latest weaponry as a defense strategy and has strengthened national production lines across a range of military complexes.
