China donates Tiger armoured vehicles to Kyrgyz special battalion
The Ministry of Public Security of China donated to the “Shumkar” special battalion of Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic buses, minibuses, SUVs, and Tiger armoured vehicles worth 30 million yuan.
Kyrgyz Internal Affairs Minister Kashkar Dzhunushaliyev and Zhao Kezhi, the State Councilor, Minister of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and its further development prospects, June 3, told press service MIA of Kyrgyz Republic.
After discussion of the main issues, the sides signed Protocol “On providing material and technical assistance and (police) equipment to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic on gratitous basis” for the total amount of 30 million Chinese yuan.
The 4×4 Tiger APC has a crew of 2, which consists of the commander and driver, and can carry 9 fully equipped infantrymen.
The Tiger 4×4 can be suited for a wide range of missions as ambulance, command post, security and law enforcement vehicle.
The Shaanxi Baoji Special Vehicles 4×4 Tiger is motorized with a Cummins ISDE200-30 Diesel engine developing 200 hp. at 2,700 RPM. The Tiger can run at a maximum road speed of 110 km/h with a maximum operational range of 600 km. The vehicle can climb 60% slope fully-loaded and cross a water depth of 800 mm without preparation and 1.2 m with preparation.
