ANKA III fires from inside the fuselage for the first time
Turkey’s cutting-edge unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV), ANKA III, has successfully launched ASELSAN’s TOLUN laser-guided munition from its internal weapon bay for the first time.
The trial, conducted at an altitude of 20,000 feet and a speed of 180 knots, marks a critical milestone in the platform’s development. The ability to deploy munitions from an internal bay significantly enhances ANKA III’s stealth profile by minimizing radar cross-section, a capability essential for operations in contested environments.
Previously, Turkish Aerospace also demonstrated the test launch of the TOLUN laser-guided munition from the external weapon station.
