ASELSAN shines at Locked Shields 2025

ASELSAN demonstrated its cyber defense expertise at Locked Shields 2025, the world’s largest and most complex live-fire cyber defense exercise, held annually in Tallinn, Estonia under NATO CCDCOE coordination. Türkiye-Hungary Blue Team (BT01), supported by ASELSAN experts, achieved 9th place among 17 competing teams. ASELSAN’s strong performance was further recognized on Distinguished Observer Day, where three team members received individual awards for their outstanding contributions. As a result of these accomplishments, ASELSAN has been officially invited to participate in Locked Shields 2026.

The Locked Shields exercise simulates multi-layered cyber conflict between fictional nations Berylia and Crimsonia, testing teams on technical, legal, and strategic dimensions of cyber warfare. ASELSAN has been a regular member of the national Blue Team since 2021, specializing in web security, Linux systems, network defense, malware analysis, and forensic computing.

Experts from Crypto & Cyber Security Systems Engineering Department joined the exercise with six team members joining the Türkiye-Hungary Blue Team remotely from the Turkish Cyber Defense Command, supporting key domains such as web security, Linux systems, forensic computing, and threat hunting. Meanwhile, three experts served in Estonia as part of the Green Team, contributing to the technical backbone of the exercise by developing the electric vehicle charging network application and contributing to the endpoint detection response system. ASELSAN’s logo again featured on the official exercise logo wall, symbolizing its growing presence on the international cyber stage.
