Latvian Army orders €4m of anti-tank ammo from Sweden
The Latvian Defense Ministry has ordered €4m worth of anti-tank munitions from Sweden’s SAAB Dynamics AB for “Carl Gustav” anti-tank weapons, the ministry told the press May 21.
The delivery of the anti-tank munition is expected later this year.
Back in 2014, Latvia ordered 800 Carl Gustavs from Norway for the bargain price of €4m, as we reported at the time.
The Carl Gustav recoilless rifle system, is a widely used weapon against armored targets. Renowned for its reliability and ease of fire, it is in the armories of several NATO member states.
