Russia donates Mi-8MT helicopters and radars to Kyrgyz Armed Forces

Russia has donated over two Mi-8MT utility helicopters and P-18-2 radar stations to the army of Kyrgyzstan on Wednesday.

FOMIN 550 9As Russia’s Defense Ministry reported, the military hardware delivered to the Kyrgyz side is worth over 770 million rubles ($12 million).

“The ceremony of the handover of military and technical assistance took place on the territory of the military unit stationed in the town of Kant,” the press service of Ministry of Defence of Russia said.

At the ceremony, Russia was represented by Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of Kyrgyz  Armed Forces Nurlan Chomoyev.

Russia has donated Kyrgyz Armed Forces received two Mi-8MT helicopters and 9 piece BRDM armored reconnaissance and patrol vehiclesn in the spring of this year.
